Cebu SRP Underpass Is Now Open
This is not only the first underpass/subway in Cebu but is also the first world class underpass/subway of Southern Philippines. It is almost half kilometers long and a little darker in the morning but you will see better lighting at night.
This is also considered as the longest underpass construction since the construction of the subway started in the year 2001 way back on my first day in Cebu Province. I am very happy now that this underpass is now done because not only it will shorten or reduce the travel time but also it can now be a pride of the Cebuano's under the legacy of the OsmeƱa administration and complemented by the RAMA's.
When you pass in this section you will feel a little bit scared because you can't see the tail of the subway. I think this is longer than any Manila Underpass because it will take you about 2 minutes to pass this tunnel. It's a bit boring after several times of passing this subway for now but I guess it's more interesting if they will put some decorations or posters at the sides.
On top of this tunnel is the Malacanang Palace of Cebu.
The temperature inside the tunnel in not quite good actually. It's a little bit warm.
For Cebuano's, never miss to pass this newest historical place of Cebu.

Smoking Ban in Public Schools
In compliance with DepED Order no 73. S. 2010, smoking will be prohibited inside school premises. This includes open or coverd spaces around school buildings.
In view hereof, school heads are instructed to put up NO SMOKING signs in conspicuous places around the school compound. A sign bearing YOU ARE ENTERING A NO SMOKING AREA must be displayed in entry points such as gates and side entrances.

Election in Minglanilla Barangay Tulay - Peaceful
These are some pictures for the Minglanilla Election 2010
This is particularly located in Barangay Tulay Minglanilla. What I like in this election is that poor and rich Filipinos line up themselves without giving any personal favor to anyone except those senior citizen.
Voters waiting for more that 3 hours to get to their respective precinct
The voting machine technician do the insertion to avoid any errors.
Beside the machine are the poll watchers of various politician
Despite long hour of standing, Filipinos still have the power to joke and smile.
Well it is generally peaceful in the election in this precinct. The real delay here is due to the number of voting machine compare to the number of precincts. The Commission of Election provides few machine against the number of voters.

We are writing to you to ask for your participation and support in mobilizing people in our Fair Trade Run for a cause on May 23, 2010, 6:00 am at the SM Cebu grounds, in celebration of the World Fair Trade Week. The World Fair Trade Day is globally celebrated every 2nd Saturday of May spearheaded by Fair Trade Organizations and Communities. In the Philippines, this year, we will have a week-long celebration from May 23 to 30, 2010.
We aim to promote the awareness of Fair Trade and its contribution in addressing poverty. Fair Trade ensures that the small producers along every step of the supply chain receive fair wages, that workers and communities are treated with dignity, and that artisans and producers take steps to preserve the environment.
Fair Trade is an alternative trading system based on dialogue, transparency and justice engaged by an organised social movement empowering producers and promoting sustainability.
Fair Trade encourages growth and sustainability of small and community based enterprises, empowerment of women and community organizations, to observe socially and environmentally just practices, to involve in actions in addressing climate change, and to act as an active agent in improving the quality of life of their communities.
These are our causes in pursuing Fair Trade. We aim to draw support to air Trade in these activities that we will embark during the Fair Trade week.
May we look forward to your participation and to help us achieve this goal of promoting awareness of Fair Trade in the coming Fair Trade Run 2010.
The Fair Trade Run 2010 will have 10k, 5k and 3k. We will make the event an educative venue on Fair Trade and Environment Awareness aside from making this an exciting Sports Event to the 2000 runners we aim to reach out. With the AVP and visuals we will put up at the site of the Fair Trade Run, we hope to promote awareness.
