Dinnerware Sets

First of all, I want to greet all of you a prosperous New year.
We've completed our New year's eve with Pfaltzgraff dinnerware in our table. It was fun and colorful setting as the family members were busy preparing for the Christmas Eve's Foods.     I'm looking for examples of dinnerware sets where for example, the fork is an octopus and the bowl is a big bear.
    Who are some sculptures that do this kind of stuff and can you provide a link to some pictures of their work?

    I am soon buying new sets of dinnerware and drinkware. Should I get sets of 8 or 12? My family is composed of my husband myself, and our 16 months old son, and we don't entertain very often.
