Cancalanog Waterfalls is a hidden waterfall located in Barangay Compostela, Alegria, Cebu, on the southwestern side of Cebu Island. It is best reached by motorcycle or private vehicle.
From Cebu City (Private Vehicle)
Travel Time: 3.5–4.5 hours (approximately 120–130 km)
- Start from Cebu City and drive south via Cebu South Road (Natalio Bacalso Avenue).

- Alcoy
- Boljoon
- Oslob
- Santander
- Samboan
- Ginatilan
- Malabuyoc
- Continue to Alegria.
- Upon reaching the town proper, follow the road toward Barangay Compostela.
- From Barangay Compostela, continue on the mountain road to Cancalanog Waterfalls. The final section may require a short hike depending on current road conditions.
By Public Transportation
- From Cebu South Bus Terminal, board a Ceres Bus bound for Bato via Barili (the western route) or any bus that passes through Alegria.
- Get off at the Alegria Public Market or town proper.
- Hire a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) to Cancalanog Waterfalls, Barangay Compostela.
- The motorcycle ride usually takes 20–30 minutes, followed by a short walk to the falls.

Best Time to Visit
- 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Cooler weather and fewer visitors.

- Avoid visiting during or immediately after heavy rain, as the trail can become slippery and water levels may rise quickly.

- A motorcycle or SUV is recommended if you're driving.
- Some sections of the road are steep and may be rough.
- Cell phone reception may be intermittent near the falls.
- Leave no trash and help preserve the natural surroundings.
